Bahujan Civil Society in the field
Intellectuals and social activists of Dalit, OBC, minority and tribal classes held a meeting at the Constitution Club of India, New Delhi. In this, prominent people of all classes expressed their views and it was concluded that 85% of the mentioned societies should unite and organize against communal, Manuwadi and fascist forces. In a way, this is a new campaign which will be led by the civil society of Dalits, Muslims, backward, tribals and Christians. Civil society has also carried out social and cultural movements in the past but their leadership has always been in the hands of the upper caste society. Without going into the reasons, it can be said that the upper caste society has gone with the communal forces in the majority. We cannot take them on our side even if we want to and this is the reason why Dalits, minorities, backward and tribals will have to unite and organize against hatred. Only a few people have got control over the resources of the country and this is happening rapidly. Communal and dictatorial forces are misusing these resources. Due to this, we are being deprived of jobs, business and education. Media is also under their control. Through privatization of government property, public establishments and departments, the wealth of the country has been rapidly handed over to a few selected business people, which needs to be stopped. Even developed countries have abandoned EVMs, so why not in India?
Dalits, OBCs, minorities and tribal communities can face this challenge only by gathering on one platform. Every means should be adopted to establish mutual brotherhood among them like group feasts, business relations, sharing in happiness and sorrow, etc. Our objective is to save the Constitution, participation and protection of democracy.
When democracy is in danger, non-political organizations and people should come forward to save it. If this does not happen, it will be considered running away from responsibility. History will not forgive those who remain neutral.
Even on short notice, a good number of officials, social workers and intellectuals could gather. Therefore, to spread this message at the national level, representatives from all over the country have been invited to the NDMC Auditorium, Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 15 June.
The following prominent representatives from all sections participated - Dr. Udit Raj, Dr. Syed Zafar Mahmood, Syed Mahmood Akhtar, Sardar Ajmer Singh, Qayamuddin, Dr. Anthony, A. P. Khan, Adv.
