In the Leadership of Dr. Udit Raj (Ex. Member of Parliament) the National Convention of intellectuals and social activists of Dalit, OBC, Minorities and Adivasi Parisangh (DOMA) concluded at NDMC Auditorium, Jantar Mantar, New Delhi. About 500 delegates from across the country attended the convention. Prominent people from all sections expressed their views and it was concluded that 85% of the mentioned communities should unite and organise against communal, Manuvadi and fascist forces. In a way, this is a new campaign which will be led by the civil society of Dalits, Muslims, backward, tribals and Christians. Civil society has carried out social and cultural movements in the past as well but their leadership has always been in the hands of the upper caste society. Without going into the reasons, it can be said that the upper caste society has gone with the communal forces in the majority. We cannot take their side even if we want to and this is the reason why Dalits, minorities, backward and tribals will have to unite and organise against hatred. The resources of the country have become the monopoly of a few people and this is happening rapidly. Communal and dictatorial forces are misusing these resources. Due to this, we are being deprived of jobs, business and education. The media is also under their control. Through the privatization of government property, public establishments and departments, the wealth of the country has been rapidly handed over to a few selected business people, which is necessary to stop. Even developed countries have abandoned EVMs, so why not in India?
Dalits, OBCs, minorities and tribal communities can face this challenge only by gathering on one platform. Every means should be adopted to establish mutual brotherhood among them, such as group feasts, business relations, sharing in happiness and sorrow, etc. Our objective is to save the Constitution, participation and protection of democracy.
The Doma Parisangh is fighting the battle to save Waqf Board from the Supreme Court to the streets and will continue in the future as well.
The Doma Parisangh will fight at every level to hand over the management of the Mahabodhi Temple in Bodh Gaya to the Buddhists.
The lawyers and citizens who believe in Ambedkar's ideas themselves collected donations and arranged to install Dr. Ambedkar's statue in Gwalior and the Chief Justice of Bhopal High Court also ordered to install the statue. BJP and RSS people did not allow the statue to be taken to the premises and the movement to install the statue is continuing. Today, a resolution was also passed that the DOMA Parisangh will struggle to install Dr. Ambedkar's statue in the Gwalior court premises at any cost.
When democracy is in danger, non-political organizations and people should come forward to save it. If this does not happen, it will be considered running away from responsibility. History will not forgive those who remain neutral.
