Under the aegis of Dalit, OBC, Minorities and Adivasi (DOMA) Parisangh, a rally was organized today at Ramlila Maidan, New Delhi, in which thousands of people participated. The rally was mainly addressed by the National President of the Congress Party, Shri Mallikarjun Kharge.
Addressing the rally, National Chairman of DOMA Parisangh, Dr. Udit Raj said that today it is announced from Ramlila Maidan that those who do 80:20 will be answered from 15:85. The number of Dalits, OBCs and Adivasis in the country is 85 percent and they do not violate each other's rights. Casteist and Manuvadi forces keep them fighting among themselves. Dr. Udit Raj said that did Muslims oppose Mandal? Did Muslims take out any Rath Yatra against Mandal? Are Muslims opposing caste census. Every day 6 Dalit women are raped, do Muslims do it? Since 2018, IAS recruitment is being done through lateral entry, but there was no reservation for Dalits and OBCs. Did Muslims curtail this right? The conclusion is that Dalits, OBCs, minorities and tribals should unite and save the Constitution and reservation, fight for caste census, elections should be held with ballot papers instead of EVMs, the reservation limit should be increased from 50%.
Dr. Udit Raj ji further said that the Government of India has 48 universities, in which there is hardly any Vice Chancellor from Dalit, OBC and tribal. Do Muslims have a hand in this too? Lakhs of posts are lying vacant in the central government, reservation is being abolished by not filling them.
The country's well-known OBC leader Shri Hanumanth Rao said that he will get the caste census done. Along with DOMA, he will run a campaign for caste census across the country. He appealed to the OBC community to leave those who are against caste census. I have been a minister of the undivided Andhra Pradesh government thrice and a Member of Parliament thrice. From my experiences, I want to say that civil society will also have to struggle. When civil society has to benefit, it will have to agitate for its rights.
In his address, National General Secretary of Parisangh, Adv. Shahid Ali said that hardly anyone in the country has as much knowledge of Waqf as I do. I have fought many cases of Waqf and have seen that many Waqf properties have been occupied. Waqf has been going on since the time of Profit Mohammed and the British had conducted a survey of Waqf properties in India in 1931. He said that it is wrong to say that Waqf is the gift of any government or person. The Waqf Bill should be withdrawn. Now that Dalits and tribals are with us, we will not let this bill pass.
The country's well-known leader Shri Ramlu Nayak (former MLC) said that tribals are called forest dwellers. RSS, through Ekal Vidyalaya, keeps filling hatred against Muslims in the hearts and minds of tribals, whereas Muslims never oppose reservation for tribals. The then Chief Minister Hemant Soren was the only Chief Minister from the tribal community in the country, but he was sent to jail, even though he was not at fault. We pledge that now Dalits, OBCs and Muslims will work together to save the Constitution.
The stage was conducted by Shri Satish Kumar Sansi, National Coordinator and Prof. Ravi Mahindra, National General Secretary. Special guests of the rally were former Deputy Prime Minister of Nepal Shri Upendra Yadav, apart from him MP Shri Tariq, Anwar, Gurdeep Sappal, MP Shri Manoj Kumar, Delhi Congress in-charge Qazi Nizamuddin, MLA Maman Khan and Aftab, former MLA Gayasuddin Sheikh, Parvez Miyan addressed. Thousands of people participated in the rally along with office bearers of DOMA Parisangh from different states of the country.
